How to Add Web parts in Document Library for SharePoint 2016

Today we are showing you, how to create or add web parts in document library for SharePoint online or 2016. By default this features will not be available to add web parts on Library list on the SharePoint 2016.

We need to enable Content Library on SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint online. We have already posted a blogs about How to Add Content Types to Libraries in SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online.

After enabling the site content we can add Web Parts.

Below is steps by step to create a webpart page with screen shots.

• Access the site and login with authorized user account.
• Navigate to the App which we have created Library App page.
• Add the Web part content type on the Doc library page and click on ok.

• Assign the name and choose the Layout template for the new web parts and click on create.

• Now once web part will get added we need to add any types of web parts which we want to show on the screen and stop editing.

• Now come back to Library doc page and we can see web part page is added on the same. We can click and see the web part content from the same Library.
