Today I am writing about creating site mailbox on SharePoint online site, Site mailbox is a central email and document sharing account that we can accessed from a SharePoint site. A team member can use a site mailbox to team up on the composing an important email message or gather applicable team level email conversations.
So I am creating site mailbox on SharePoint team site.
Below are the screen shots for creating the same step by step:
- Login to the team site, make sure you have admin rights or appropriate permission to access site contents.
- Now, once team site is opened on the browser page, click on setting gear box form right side of the page.
- Now select Site contents from listed option, click on Site mailbox.
- Once you will click on the site mailbox App, it will get create automatic. It won’t ask for any other details.
- See below screen shot for more details, once the site mailbox will get created on the team site page will be showing output like below:
- Now, we need to configure site mailbox from the SharePoint online team site page.
- Just click on created mailbox app, it will redirect us to Office 365 account, here we need to enter user name and password and click on sign on.
- Once clicked on sign in option, it will take some time to configure site mailbox on the SharePoint, It will be showing us to wait for 15 minutes till that Mailbox will be ready to use.
- Now, back to the page after few minutes wait and we can see the mail box is ready and will be landed on Mail box for that users.
- Now we will test the same by sending a test email to any of team member. So compose an email and send it and verified we are getting email from mailbox to team member.
